The SDL Party is still awaiting the green light from the police on whether they can go ahead with their Annual General Meeting in Suva this afternoon.
SDL's National Director, Peceli Kinivuwai said the only item on the agenda is the appointment of the new party President and they have informed police about the issue.
Kinivuwai said they met with the Police Director Operations, Waisea Tabakau yesterday and informed him about the agenda of the meeting and that the AGM will be held from 2pm to 5pm at the FTA Hall in Suva.
He said Tabakau has told them that he will speak to the Police Commissioner and inform them about the decision later this morning.
