The Chairman for Sugarcane Growers Council has agreed that council lacks resources as claimed by current CEO Surendra Sharma who has resigned.
Jain Kumar said council needs funding to assist flood affected farmers and carryout some projects.
He added Council's Board is expected to meet next month to decide on their new Chief Executive officer.
Kumar said Surendra Sharma's resignation is effective from end of next month. Sharma is currently in New Zealand.
