Suva City Council is carrying out a survey to determine whether bus operators from the Suva Bus stand are adhering to the approved timetable from the Land Transport Authority.
Special Administrator Chandu Umaria said they have assigned their staff to do a survey on bus operators and find out the number of times they enter the bus stand and whether the approved timetable from the Land Transport Authority is being followed.
He said once the report is finalised they will call a meeting with the bus operators to discuss the issue and if this is true then extra charges will be imposed.
The council claims that some bus operators are making more trips then the approved schedule.
