The Suva City Council is currently monitoring all functions and religious preaching’s held at Sukuna Park following complaints about excessive noise.

Spokesperson, Jillian Hicks said they received an official complaint from a concerned ratepayer two weeks ago about the New Methodist services at the park and the noise levels.

Hicks adds as a result they sent officers to stress to them the importance of obeying the policy of the use of Sukuna Park, adding this is standard policy and is done to all other clients as well.

Hicks said the policy states that sound levels should be bearable and not disturb those around them adding the council is currently monitoring the noise levels.

She said SCC will not allow people to use the council's premises if they continue to disregard the agreement.
