As complaints continue to be received in relation to the pathetic condition of some roads in Suva, the Lord Mayor, Ratu Peni Volavola said people should realise that the SCC is doing its best to fix the roads in the Suva area.
Ratu Peni Volavola said people will always complain about anything.
Volavola reveals that at the Council meeting last night they relooked at the option of outsourcing road works.
However he adds that this is a topic of debate as the unions will be against the move.
SCC Roads Supervisor, Foama Nagera had earlier told Village News that the Council looks after a total of 500 roads in the City and that most of them are past their allocated lifespan.
