Suva Lord Mayor Ratu Peni Volavola has stressed that the council in any way does not make any bias decisions in allowing organisations to use its facilities for free or on discounts.
Volavola said the requests go through a procedural process first, after which a decision is made.
It was noted in the minutes of the City Council's last meeting, that a 20% discount was given to Ministry of Tourism for the use of the Civic Center and Sukuna Park in September.
In addition to this, a 20% discount was also given to the Fiji Cancer Society for the use of the Civic Centre also in September.
