The Suva City Council led by Mayor Ratu Peni Volavola cleaned up parts of Suva this morning starting from Raiwai and Raiwaqa
Village News managed to talk to Ratu Peni Volavola at Raiwaqa this morning and questioned him on whether the clean up was a result of the order issued by Interim Local Government Minister Lekh Ram Vayeshnoi, to clean up Suva within 30 days.
Ratu Peni said the SCC has worked on a tight budget since majority of people have not paid their city rates which amounted to more than $17 million dollars.
