Sonny Bill Williams is making friends at a Syrian refugee camp in Lebanon.
The All Black was at the camp to help Unicef highlight the conditions Syrian children and families are living in after fleeing their homes because of conflict and violence.
More than 1.2 million refugees have sought shelter in Lebanon, which shares a border with Syria, in the last five years.
The sporting superstar spent his first day at the camp talking with a refugee family, hanging out with kids living in the settlement and visiting their school, which is set up in a temporary building.
An image posted by Unicef New Zealand shows camp children greeting Williams dressed in Santa suits.
