Current IRB 7s series points table leader South Africa will just need to reach the quarterfinals of both the England and Scotland 7s to win the title for the first time.

The Paul Treu coached side leads with 104 points and is followed by England on 76 points while the Digicel Fiji 7s is on 3rd position with 74 points.

The highest points that England can get from winning both the England and Scotland 7s is 116 points while Fiji can have a maximum 114 points but for South Africa if they lose in both the quarterfinals they will still be ahead on 120 points and their first ever IRB 7s series win in 10 years.

Only New Zealand have been dominating the 7s scene in the IRB, winning 8 of the last IRB 7s series while Fiji's only win was in 2006.

Fiji is in Pool C in the England 7s with USA, Scotland and Kenya.

The England 7s will kick off on Saturday with Fiji's opening pool game at 11:19pm against USA, then Fiji meets Scotland at 2:25am on Sunday and their last pool game is against Kenya at 6:49am.
