Springbok 7s coach Paul Treu has been boosted by the return of match winner Renfred Dazel for the next two legs of the IRB Sevens World Series, the New Zealand International Sevens in Wellington and the USA Sevens in Las Vegas.

Dazel missed the first two tournaments of the season but proved his fitness at a recent training camp in Stellenbosch.

Treu has also named three uncapped youngsters, Philip van der walt, Hoffman Maritz and Steven Hunt in his final 12 man squad.

Regular captain Paul Delport in out with an ankle injury while veteran Neil Powell is still nursing a sore shoulder.

Mzwandile Stick will captain the South Africa 7s team.

The Boks, if they are to get their season back on track will need to be at their best on day one at the Westpac Stadium, where they face hosts New Zealand, Wales and Niue in their pool.

The New Zealand International 7s tournament will be held next Friday and Saturday in Wellington.
