William Ryder's inclusion in the Digicel Fiji Sevens team for the Hong Kong and Australia Sevens remains in doubt.

The Japan based player who ruled himself out of the World Cup Sevens because of injury has changed his tune now saying he is fit and ready to be part of the team to Happy Valley.

The Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) has made it clear that Ryder did not attend the medical test with their doctor when he declared himself injured and are surprised he has recovered in a short time wanting a place in the team.

Coach Iliesa Tanivula had made it clear that he will not be chasing after players who have not shown commitment in playing for Fiji as it will be best for him to mould players who are willing to put their body on the line for their country.

Fiji is in Pool E with Chinese Taipei, Canada and Samoa.

The Hong Kong Sevens will be held from the 27th to the 29th of this month.
