William Ryder’s future in the Digicel Fiji 7s team is in doubt after he failed to play in the Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s yesterday.

Ryder who did not play well in the last leg of the IRB 7s series   7s will have to prove himself in the upcoming Fiji Bitter Marist 7s next week.

After the Fiji Barbarians side lost 12-7 in the quarterfinal of the Nawaka 7s, it has also come at a cost where Jerry Burotu is ruled out of the Marist 7s and will be monitored if he is fit to play in the Australia and Hong Kong 7s.

Burotu did not play in the later stages of the Dubai and George 7s where Fiji lost in the semifinal and showed again yesterday that he is a key player in the forwards.

Other players that are still considered and are recovering from minor injuries are Pio Tuwai, Watisoni Votu, Emosi Vucago and Osea Kolinisau.

There is still no decision at the moment whether the National 7s reps will play for their respective clubs in the Fiji Barbarians 7s team during the Marist 7s where the team to the Adelaide and Hong Kong 7s will be announced.

The Adelaide 7s will be held from March 20-21 followed by the Hong Kong 7s on March 26-28.
