Former Vodafone Fiji 7s team playmaker William Ryder will be featuring for the FWCC Red Rock 7s side at the Bayleys Fiji Coral Coast 7s next weekend.

Ryder who has completed his contract in France has been playing sevens around the country from last year.

The Red Rock team is the last team to be included in the tournament after Naviti Resort pulled out.

Team manager Malakai Yamaivava says Ryder’s interest to play for them has added the much need boost that the Qauia side were looking for in the tournament they have won in 2010 and 2012.

Yamaivava also believes that Ryder is aiming to make his comeback into the national side and also represent Fiji in this year’s Rio Olympics.

Another player who will be joining Ryder is former Fiji 7s halfback Peni Gaunimeke.

Red Rock is pooled with BLK First Landing, Tonga and Wardens in Pool D.

The Bayleys Fiji Coral 7s will be held next week from Thursday to Saturday at Lawaqa in Sigatoka.
