Former Fiji 7's playmaker, William Ryder has guided his Toyota Verblitz club to fourth spot in the Japan club competition and stands a good chance of playing in the Microsoft Cup playoffs.

Ryder came in as a substitute against Semisi Naevo's NEC Greeg Rockets and scored a try to help side win the match by 40 points to 24.

Toyota team coach Ryuji Ishii says Ryder is becoming a dangerous weapon for his team with his dazzling footwork and should be a starter from the next match.

Naevo's NEC Green Rockets who were in second place before this match has now dropped to 6th place
