Digicel Fiji sevens coach Ben Ryan knows that he will come up against England in the IRB World 7s series early than expected.

Barring any upsets in pool play Fiji is expected to meet either South Africa of England in the Gold Coast 7s quarterfinals this weekend.

Ryan said it will be hard be hard for him personally if Fiji comes up against England but that will not affect his new role.

The former England 7s coach adds he will focus on the basics this weekend and he will make the players work harder.

Meanwhile, the Gold Coast 7s kicks off at 12.30pm tomorrow and Fiji’s first pool match is against Canada at 1.58pm.

Fiji’s second match is against Portugal at 5.14pm and the last pool match will be against Wales at 9.24pm.

The Cup quarterfinals start at 1.58pm on Sunday, Cup semis kicks off at 5.58pm and the Cup final will be played at 9.04pm.
