Vodafone Fiji Sevens coach, Ben Ryan will make an announcement today on the eligibility of Emori Waqa to play for Fiji in the Dubai and Cape Town sevens.
Waqa has represented Sri Lanka in the 7s and 15s code.
He is one of the two new players who has been selected for the Dubai and Cape Town sevens.
Fiji will meet Canada in their first pool match of the Dubai 7s at 6pm next Friday.
They will then take on Japan at 9pm next Friday before facing Argentina at 3.28am next Saturday.
The Vodafone Fiji 7s team will depart for Dubai this Thursday at 4.30pm.
