Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan has not ruled out the possibility of dropping a few players from the Olympics training squad after tomorrow’s training run.
Ryan says while he would love to keep a good number of players in camp, he may make some decisions tomorrow if he thinks someone just cannot make it to the Rio Games.
We asked Ryan about Jarryd Hayne’s performance so far in the training runs.
It was evident from this morning’s run that Hayne still has a lot of catching up to do as it was noticed that sometimes his passes were not connecting and at times he was just not standing at the right place.
Ryan says it has been very hard for Hayne as he has been playing at rover and number 10.
However he says Hayne will be part of the camp for the time being as his seeing something more from Hayne in each training session.
Moreover, the training run this morning brought out the best from the players as they were putting their best performance to get picked in the team.
Meanwhile, France based Josua Tuisova is still not part of the tough scrimmage session this morning and was assigned light training drills.
Another player missing out the training run this morning was Emosi Mulevoro who has a cut on his leg and may sit outside for the next couple of days.
