Vodafone Fiji 7s coach, Ben Ryan is not influenced by moves taken by All Black 7s Coach Sir Gordon Tietjens in revealing his Olympics 7s squad wish-list.
Tietjens wish-list includes star players like Sonny Bill Williams, Kieran Read, Julien Savea, Ben Smith, Gillis Kaka and DJ Forbes while England, Australia and South Africa have had a similar approach towards their preparations for the Olympics.
When Fijivillage questioned Ryan whether he has set out his plans for Fiji, he said funding is the main issue but there is always a way.
Ryan added that another hindrance in his plan is the availability of overseas based players.
Meanwhile Ryan has already said that he would be getting some NRL players for the wing’s position.
He said that Fiji has been lacking the spark it is known for and believes that he can get them back to its usual standard.
The first leg of the 2014/2015 IRB 7s series in Gold Coast will be held on the 11th and 12th of next month.
