Vodafone Fiji 7s rugby Coach Ben Ryan have not given up hope on the overall World Series title.

Ryan said the team played well in the pool stages of the New Zealand 7s yesterday.

Argentina Coach Santiago Gomez Cora said with the current weather condition in Wellington they have to keep it close against Fiji in their quarterfinal match.

Meanwhile, former Flying Fijians coach Ilivasi Tabua believes the Vodafone Fiji 7s team has what it takes to walk away with the New Zealand 7s title today.

This comes after Fiji's unbeaten run in pool play but Tabua said defense will be vital if they are to stand any chance of claiming the title.

Tabua added that Fiji needs to improve on other areas as well because Argentina will not be a pushover.

Meanwhile, All Blacks 7s captain DJ Forbes said despite the opening loss to Fiji he is confident that his players can make a comeback.

The Vodafone Fiji 7s team will meet Argentina in the last cup quarterfinals at 2.39pm today.

If Fiji progresses to the semifinals, they are expected to meet either Australia or South Africa.

In the first cup quarterfinals defending champions England will take on Samoa at 1.33pm, New Zealand will play Canada at 1.55pm while Australia takes on South Africa at 2.17pm.

The Cup semifinals are scheduled for 5.35pm while the Cup final kicks off at 8.30 tonight.

Looking at the Bowl quarterfinals results Scotland defeated Spain 38-12, Wales beat Tonga 19-12, Kenya defeated Portugal 33-0 and USA is leading France 12-7 in the final Bowl quarterfinal match.
