Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan has dismissed reports that Jarryd Hayne has been left out of the squad for this weekend’s London Sevens.

After quitting NFL franchise the San Francisco 49ers this week, the former NRL star announced his intention to qualify for the Olympics with Fiji.

Reports by Fox Sports Australia stated that the crosscode star has missed out on the 12‑man squad named by coach Ben Ryan.

Ryan says a decision is yet to be made as the final 12-man squad for the London 7s will be announced tomorrow.

World Rugby has also warned members of the Media to stop misinforming the public about Jarryd Hayne.

Since Hayne announced his move to join Fiji, questions have been raised by Australian Media on why Hayne chose Fiji over Australia.

Hayne had his first training with the team yesterday.

Semi Kunatani is still out due to injury while Leone Nakarawa and Josua Tuisova are back with their clubs.

Meanwhile, Virimi Vakatawa has created history as he will captain the France 7s team this weekend.

He is the first Fiji born player to captain a French national team.

Fiji will face England at 11.04pm Saturday in their first pool match of the London 7s.

The national side will then play Wales at 1.48am Sunday while the last pool match against Australia will be at 4.54am Sunday.

The Cup Quarter‑finals will start at 9:58pm Sunday while the Cup semifinals will kick off at 1:48am Monday.
