More than 70,000 people are now part of the ANZ's rural banking scheme.
Head of ANZ's rural banking Baro Saumaki has confirmed that the initiative has proved a great success so far with more people opening their accounts in rural areas every time they visit them.
According to Saumaki, they have 6 teams which visit people in areas where they don’t have access to banks.
The team also visits some outer islands.
