The Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji has interviewed the four passengers of the aircraft which slid off the runway at the Nadi International Airport on Monday.

However, CAAFI Chief Executive Netava Waqa said they are now liaising with the New Caledonian authorities, where the air craft is from and are expected to take the lead in the investigations.

Waqa said though the incident falls within their jurisdiction, language barriers would hinder investigations and they will fully assist the airline operators to ascertain the cause of the accident as they have not been able to establish this through the interview process.
