Ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase was emotional after the ruling and said he will talk to his lawyers.
He said the ruling against them is a miscarriage of justice.
At a press conference following the ruling Qarase said that certain arguments from their lawyers were not taken into account by the Judges.
Qarase also said that the decisions raised serious questions on the prerogative powers vested upon the President which needs to be looked into in the way it is phrased in the Constitution.
However, Interim Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said Qarase should speak to his lawyers first before making such statements.
The SDL is now consulting its lawyers and intend to appeal the matter through the Fiji Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.
