The Captain of a police rugby team in the Western Division died earlier today while playing in a rugby match.
Police spokesperson, Sgt. Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed the police officer was playing in Sigatoka where the incident allegedly happened.
Sokomuri said it’s unclear whether the officer died after he collapsed during the match.
Police investigations continue.
