The FMF Flying Fijians celebration will go ahead despite rain in the capital city.

It will start at 2pm from the Vatuwaqa Primary School and will end at the Post Fiji Stadium.

On their arrival at the Post Fiji Stadium, the players and officials will then be introduced to the President Ratu Josefa Iloilo, who will be the chief guest today.

Also present at the celebration will be Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama and major sponsor of the team, Flour Mills of Fiji chairman Hari Punja.

Meanwhile, the FMF Flying Fijians players and officials will receive commemorative plaques from the FRU and bonuses today after President Ratu Josefa Iloilo will officiate at the celebrations.

HPU Manager Peter Murphy said that each player is expected to receive $30,000 each.
