Chaudhry had earlier said that he is looking forward to meeting Rudd soon and added that he hopes the new Labour government will review Australia's current policy towards Fiji, moving away from isolation to one of constructive engagement.

Chaudhry said the FLP has had a long relationship with the Australian Labour Party and he is confident the new government will see things in a wider perspective.
