Labasa striker Roy Krishna will become the first ever soccer player from Fiji to play in the Fifa Club World Cup.

Krishna had been named in the final 20 member Waitakere United team.

He is a newcomer to the side which also has the services of Brazilian import Adriano.

Coach Chir Milicich is pleased with Krishna's performance and says the star player from Fiji will play a key role in their campaign.

Waitakere United will conclude preparation in Auckland this week before flying to China on Wednesday night and playing Ningbo Province on their way to Japan and a date with Adelaide United on December 11th.
