Many students of a school in Raiwaqa who have never ever touched a computer before were filled with joy after their school received computers from the Rotaract Club of Suva.
Vishnu Deo Memorial Primary School received three computers from the club and the Headteacher, Balwant Singh said the help is timely as they found after a survey with 178 students from classes 5 to 8 on computer literacy, that 71 students had never used a computer before.
Meanwhile, the President of Rotaract Club of Suva, Jacinta Hesaie said that they will provide basic computer knowledge to students and will check the computers monthly to see that it is virus free.
She said the decision to help the school was made after the school approached them for assistance.
