Police are questioning three men of Raiwaqa for allegedly robbing the Rooster Poultry outlet in Vatuwaqa yesterday.

Divisional Crime Officer Southern, ASP Apisalome Tuiwakaya has confirmed the hunt still continues for the other two suspects who managed to flee.

ASP Tuiwakaya said a government vehicle was used in the robbery. The government vehicle was stolen from the government building just minutes before the robbery.

Thieves fled with the safe containing close to $37,000.

After robbing the rooster poultry in Vatuwaqa, the five were on their way to rob a shop in Lami when they were arrested by Lami police.

According to police the robbers are well known and they are expected to be charged soon.
