The role of young people in bridging the gap of the racial divide in society is vital, as they are the tools of change not only for tomorrow but more importantly today.
These are the words of ECREA's Youth Peace and Development Program Director Waisale Ramoce at the three day Multiculturalism workshop for youths currently being held in Suva.
Ramoce said while it may not be evident, the reality is that the racial divide still exists in our society, and that is why youths are the perfect group of people to make a difference.
Travelling all the way from Labasa to be part of the workshop is Amish Prasad who said he hopes to take back what he will learn, in the hope of changing the way people think about one another in his community.
The workshop ends on Thursday.
