Fiji's Former High Commissioner to India Luke Rokovada remains in the dark over the reasons he has been recalled, only months after the interim government had confirmed that he will be allowed to continue.

When contacted by Village News Rokovada confirmed that he had been directed to return earlier this month, however, no official reason has been given to him.

According to Interim Foreign Affairs Minister Ratu Epeli Nailatikau Rokovada has completed his tour of duty having served in India for the past four years and as normal procedure he must be recalled.

Ratu Epeli said new High Commissioner to India Savenaca Kaunisela started work in his new role from earlier this week after presenting his credentials to the Indian Authorities.
