Fiji born British Army soldier Semesa Rokoduguni is on the verge of creating history by becoming the first Fijian to play for the England rugby side.

Rokoduguni has been named on the wing for the England XV (15’s) team to play the Barbarians next Monday at Twickenham.

Earlier this year Rokoduguni was named in the England Saxons which is a shadow national side to play the Irish Wolfhounds but it was unfortunate that the 26 year old from Naselai, Tailevu was injured before that match.

Rokoduguni is the younger brother of former Rewa soccer rep Waisake Sabutu and he is the elder brother of former ACS sprinter Seleima Balevesi.

The England 15’s will play the Barbarians at 3am next Monday.

The Barbarians boasts a total of 700 test caps and have players like Jimmy Cowan, Hosea Gear, James O’Connor, Rene Ranger, Joe Rokocoko and Andrew Hore.
