7s veteran, Nasoni Roko has called on the public to support current Digicel Fiji 7s Coach Iliesa Tanivula if the Fiji Rugby Union makes the call for him to coach the team again for the next season.

The Serea Naitasiri villager, who has represented Fiji to over 30 International tournaments, said that Tani deserves praise as he is the type of coach who instills faith in his players and motivates a young team to win.

Roko has gone through three different coaches in his 7s career and feels that Tanivula is no different and should be given the support he needs.

Meanwhile, Acting FRU Chief Executive Keni Dakuidreketi said that the ball is now in Tanivula's hands and they will be awaiting a response from him in the next few weeks, after which  the FRU Board will sit and decide on the new Coach to the next season, which starts in November.

At the moment Fiji is ranked 2nd to South Africa after bagging wins at the Hong Kong and Scotland leg of the 2008/2009 IRB 7s series.
