Rewa soccer team defender, Marika Rodu has hung up his soccer boots for some time and will be not back until his fit enough to take the field.

Rodu was recently appointed coach of the Rewa soccer team and according to the former Lelean Memorial school student, his priority now is to help Rewa win all the major soccer titles this year.

Rodu who plays sweeper was instrumental in Rewa's win at last year's Inkk Mobile BOG and Courts IDC and his departure will surely leave a big vacuum in the Rewa defence.

However, the National Karate Champion said there are more than enough capable players in the Delta Tigers camp to take on the sweeper's position.

Rewa opens its Champions league campaign against Lautoka this Sunday 2pm at Govind Park followed by the Ba and Navua match at 4pm.
