The former All Black and current Canterbury coach Scott Robertson will coach the Crusaders next year, replacing incumbent Todd Blackadder who's leaving at the end of this season.
Blackadder announced at the start of this season that it would be his last in charge.
Robertson said becoming Crusaders head coach is a dream come true.
The rest of the Crusaders coaching lineup will be appointed at the end of the Super rugby season.
Roberston who took up the Canterbury job in 2013 and has guided the team to two premiership titles will continue in the role this year.
He is also head coach of the New Zealand Under‑20 team.
