Police have been able to locate the van which was used in the RB Patel robbery yesterday morning.

According to Assistant Police Spokesperson Corporal Suliano Tevita, the van was found at Leqaleqa, Nadi, and police are still looking for the eight youths who robbed the RB Patel Supermarket in Lautoka of $80,000 cash and $1000 worth of assorted liquor yesterday morning.

The eight hired a 7 seater van from Namaka and upon reaching Saweni, they tied the driver with cables and took off with the van.

At around 9.15 yesterday morning, they stormed into the shop with 5 toy guns and cane knives and demanded the shop manager of the weekend's takings before fleeing.

The youths changed the number plate of the Toyota Liteace van from CO 853 to FG 18.
