Roads/Bridges under water in west
Rakiraki Police confirms that Naqoro flats, FSC, Galau and Rakiraki village are under 2 feet flood water and people living in the low lying areas have started to move to higher grounds.
In Ba, the Togeya Bridge, Navala Bridge and Maranitawa Bridges are under 2 feet flood waters and closed to all traffic.
And in Nadi, our reporter Gulsher Ali confirms that the Nadi Back road is now open to traffic after flood water receded however motorists are advised to take precautions.
Meanwhile, the Weather Office forecasters in Nadi say that the active trough of low pressure lying over the Fiji group is very slowly moving.
Forecasters said this low pressure is expected to continue bringing heavy rain for the whole of Fiji and flash flooding of low lying areas, rivers and streams is highly likely for the next 36 to 48 hours.
