Roads in Naqaidamu and Nasau villages in Koro Island are flooded due to the heavy rain that was experienced in the last 24 hours.
Ministry of Roads spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete said reports received that the road in Levuka is also flooded and people need to take precaution.
Also in Lakeba in the Lau group, the roads in Vakano and Nasaqalau have been damaged and also in Muanicolo the culvert have been washed away with debris and fallen trees blocking the roads.
Waqainabete said the road is now closed to the villagers.
She added some of the villages in the Lau group are unreachable which includes Vanuabalavu, Moala, Matuku, Totoya and the upper islands of Lau.
