The Department of Roads is expected to signed another Memorandum of Understanding soon with the Exim Bank of China for the upgrading and construction of the Buca Bay Road in Cakaudrove and Motomoto Road in Ba.

Ministry of Works, Transport and Public Utilities Spokesman Iliesa Sokia said the upgrading works for these two roads is worth $100 million which includes the construction of bridges as well.

Sokia said the ministry has constructed three bridges namely the Naqali Bridge in Naitasiri worth $6 million, Vaturova bridge near Tabia, Labasa and the Navuso bridge.

Sokia added on the current Kings Road upgrading works, 16 bridges have also been constructed worth $11 million dollars.

Last week the Department of Road also signed a $90 million contract with the Exim Bank of China for the upgrading works for the Sigatoka Vallley Road and the Sawani to Serea Rd.
