Heavy downpour over the weekend has affected a number of areas in Naqali, Taunovo and Korovou.
According to Engineer Roads, Narendra Rama, water had flooded the Naqali Bridge, and now that the water has receded, the roads in the surrounding areas have been washed away and closed to all traffic.
Rama added that due to the heavy rainfall and landslides, roads have been closed and some vehicles are forced to stay on the other side of the road.
The Public Works Department is advising the general public not to travel on these roads, near the Naqali, Taunovo and Korovou areas, until further notice.
