The Transport Ministry is seeking funds in next year's budget to upgrade and carry out development works in Ba, Sigatoka and Buca Bay in Vanua Levu.
Ministry Spokesperson Sainiana Waqanaibete said there are also plans to continue with the work on the upgrading of four lane roads from Makoi to the Rewa Bridge.
She said the Ministry was given more than $300 million in this year's budget and they are expecting more funds in next year's budget.
Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama will deliver the 2010 National Budget address next Friday.
