The widening of the road from Nausori to Makoi is expected to begin at the end of the year with the Ministry of Public Utilities now waiting for interested investors to co-fund the project.
Ministry of Public Utilities spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete said this is one of their major projects for the year.
Waqainabete said they want to finish all the paper work soon, taking into consideration the increasing traffic between Makoi and Nausori.
The highway between Makoi and Nausori will be made into a four way lane.
