Motorists and pedestrians travelling along the Kings Highway have been asked to take precautions as heavy rain has resulted in the closure of some bridges and roads.
Works Ministry Spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete confirmed that the Naqia, Baleinaga, Wainivesi Road and bridges are closed as they are underwater.
The Draunikura flats along the Kings road is also flooded, while motorists have been advised to take precautions near Nabita road, as flood waters have washed away half of the road causing single lane traffic.
Waqainabete has called on people to take precautions near flooded areas.
