Maintenance of government roads around the country is expected to speed up later this month as new machinery has been bought by government.
Works Ministry spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete said some roads in the rural areas are in a bad state which really needs maintenance.
Concerns have been raised by motorists for many years on the bad condition of the roads around the country.
