The road for the Digicel Fiji Sevens team to remain in the number 1 spot in the points table in the first tournament in New Zealand next season will be tough.

With the extended squad going through their workshop today at FASANOC the coaching duo of Alifereti Dere and Etuate Waqa will let the players know of their intention of what they need from them.

Fiji is in Pool C in Wellington with Wales, Argentina and Tonga but the real test is in the quarter final where either England or South Africa will meet them.

Waqa said that knowing New Zealand the players will have to adapt quickly and not be shock as the points difference now is not more than 10 with the top 5 sides in the IRB Sevens Series.

The NZ Sevens will be held from the 3rd and 4th of February.
