A middle aged man has died after he sustained serious injuries in an accident in Valley Rd, Keiyasi on Saturday.
Assistant Police Spokesperson Sergeant Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed the man died at Sigatoka hospital yesterday afternoon.
According to Sokomuri the driver and some other passengers of the car, the victim was in are now on the run and Police are looking for them.
Police believe the driver was speeding which they believe caused the car to veer off the road and tumble.
Meanwhile, a woman also died in an accident in Bavu, Nadi early Sunday morning while her husband received injuries.
The two were returning home after attending a function.
The road death toll now stands at 28 compared to 39 for the same period last year.
