A 33 year old man died instantly yesterday morning after the vehicle he was driving went off the road and landed in a creek near Sigatoka Village.
The deceased was driving his company vehicle, a three tonne truck towards Lautoka when he failed to negotiate a bend near Sigatoka Village.
As a result he lost control and the vehicle landed in a creek.
He died instantly, while a 29 year old passenger was treated at the Sigatoka hospital.
The road death toll now is 6 compared to four during the same period last year.
