A 60 year old man is dead after an accident in Navua last night.
Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed to Fijivillage news that the accident happened in Tokotoko Navua when the driver of the vehicle travelling towards Suva lost control and hit the man who was walking along the road.
The driver is now in police custody while two other passengers in the vehicle sustained some injuries were treated and sent home.
Meanwhile, Inspector Sokomuri has urged motorists to take extra care on the highways as rainy weather is expected to continue till tomorrow in most parts of the country.
