Major road upgrade works have now started in Suva and Nausori.
Narendra Rama of Divisional Engineer Roads Central and Eastern's office, has confirmed this was made possible after the Ministry of Transport, Works and Energy approved some funding to carry out immediate road upgrades.
Rama has assured bus and taxi operators that those roads which need repair will be worked on and has asked them not to stop their services as it will affect students who will be seating final exams soon.
