Work has started on repairing roads in the Delainavesi area and once that is done, work will then start on roads in the Lami area.
This was confirmed by Lami Town Council Mayor Tevita Vuatalevu, who said council workers have started patching up work in Delainavesi which is likely to take a week to complete.
Vuatalevu said while the council is responsible for small repair works on roads, what people should understand is that major rehabilitation works on roads is not their responsibility but that of the government, and that hasn't been done for the last 10 to fifteen years.
